That I should know forgiving grace,
Mercy given in judgement's place-
That I be treated as His child,
His gifts upon me freely piled-
That I be made more like His Son,
Changed to holy this sinful one-
That I should get to speak His name,
Be used on earth to spread His fame-
That I should die and see His face,
All makes me marvel at His grace!
